What's a lomo?

When most people talk about a "Lomo", they are referring to the Lomo LC-A.  The Lomo Compact Automat is a relatively small, Russian-made camera.  Most people who use an LC-A do so because of the camera's  light-gathering abilities, which make it particularly suited to low-light situations.
