The wedding invitations dubbed the upcoming nuptials of Kayla and Tony as “Best Day Ever,” and I can’t disagree with that!
Firstly, there are a couple of things to know:
- I have traveled to different states to photograph weddings before, this is my first time going out of the country for a wedding! Kayla and Tony live in London, so that’s where their wedding took place. Also, it was my first time attending a wedding in England, full stop. So cool!
- I shot the whole thing on film. As much of a film enthusiast as I am, digital is usually my medium of choice for weddings. Not this time though. Between the fact that I don’t normally take digital cameras with me when I travel to England, and the fact that I just felt as if Kayla and Tony’s wedding would best be captured on film, well…these are all film photos!
Kayla and Tony were married at the beautiful Islington Town Hall in London. There were readings by some of the happy couple’s nearest and dearest, music sung with lilting vocals and ukelele accompiament by a talented friend of Kayla’s, and even a few laughs during the ceremony (such as when the ring bearer decided he wanted his grandfather, Tony’s brother and best man, to give the rings to the bride and groom during the exchanging of the rings portion of the ceremony. Hilarious!)
The wedding was 100% true to who Kayla and Tony are (which is to say: lovely individuals!) Probably because the amazing Kayla did it all! From the wedding cake to the bouquets and floral arrangements, it was all Kayla! Not to mention the design of the invitations, too!
Though the wedding was in a grand room, it felt like a very intimate setting due to the warmth and love felt by everyone in attendance.
Seriously. SO ADORABLE!

The happiest of couples!
Essential photo of the wedding couple’s shoes 😉
Tony, Kayla, and Baxter make a beautiful little family, don’t you agree??
Seeing a bride and groom walking from the town hall to the restaurant where the reception was being held gave onlookers a something to smile about!
In lieu of the guestbook, guests signed little wooden hearts and placed them in a keepsake frame

Super candid, but I love this one of the newlyweds, their little guy, and Kayla’s mom
They sure did!
Kayla and Tony’s wedding day was marvelous. You can just see that those two ADORE one another, and really, I could see how much their union meant to all their guests on that day. Much love to ya’ll!
